Have you ever been to a destination wedding? Well last week we flew from Germany to the Cayman Islands (Grand Cayman, to be exact) to see my husband's little sister get married to the love of her life!
My sister in law and her new husband have been together since their junior year of high school! It was about time that they finally made it official :-) The wedding was absolutely amazing. Intimate and small, a perfect celebration of their love with all of their closest family and friends. We were so honored to be there and were so excited to welcome Alex into the Dillon Clan! The wedding was right on the beach, the weather was perfect, the ceremony was beautiful and the reception was so much fun. It was seriously and epic experience! My husband officiated the wedding (the bride's brother), little Ollie was the ring bearer, and I sang a song with the bride's other brother and his wife. It was truly a family affair <3
We arrived a couple days before everyone else, so we were thankful for the time to get over the worst of our jet lag and have a couple extra days to soak up the sun.
We spent most of our days spending the morning at the beach, then coming into our hotel room for rest and nap time everyday after lunch. We had lots of snuggles while watching cartoons. Perfection. After nap time it was usually more beach, snorkeling, going out to eat, and watching the gorgeous sunset over the ocean.
Unbelievable right?! I wish I could see that sunset everyday! The rehearsal dinner was so much fun and of course the wedding was fantastic. Here are some of my favorite shots of family from the rehearsal dinner.
I wasn't the wedding photographer, so if you want to check out some of the professional wedding shots go on over to our good friend Crista's (Fusion Productions) facebook page to see images here and here.
The day after the wedding, we all crawled our of our rooms to the beach once again. We all laid out in the sun, talking about the amazing wedding experience, while lounging in the exact spot the wedding took place the day before!
Congrats to the Bride and Groom! We LOVED celebrating with you and we also loved experiencing the beauty of the Cayman Islands! We sure are missing that warm sunshine right about now! It's 6 degrees outside right now! Brrrrrrrr.......
